He who walks in anothers Track leaves no foot Prints!!!- Joan Brannon
I was thinking about the topic of this post and was wondering how true this is but how many people just walks on other peoples tracks and leave no trace or any foot prints of their great journeys. Life is a Drama and We all are actors in it were words of William Shakespeare but some times I feel this drama has a cast but there are also understudies for them which means some never comes on stage and act but is a part of the play.
This is the truth of our lives. It is just a few of us who walks on our own paths and leave foot prints but most of us are just understudies. Most of us are people who lives under the light of another and indeed this life is a joke. A drama with no audience but with fellow actors playing the role of the audience it self some times.
When I was small my mother used to tell me Stories about the Queen Viharamahadevi, and My father used to tell me about the king Dutugamunu. My grand mother taught me about Lord Buddha and my brother told me about Albert Einstein. Each one of them were people who had completed their journey in their own path without being an understudy but no one talk about Nimal, Sunil, Kamala and Geetha (Hypothetical Names) who had no significance in living but lived their life just the way all the others did while following some once theory or some once vision.
How ever that does make me realize some thing. Just because you are following some once vision or a theory that does not mean that you are an understudy all the time. Albert Einstein was a Christian and followed the vision of Jesus, Martin Wickramasingha was a Buddhist who followed the vision of Lord Buddha but what made them not understudies was that they added some thing to the book of knowledge. They lead a life with some significance. They used others visions to make their own.
We are given a life not to die without any significance but to live a life that is worthy telling to some one. A journey with foot prints left behind. Even though I tell all this most of the time we are understudies and rarely we leave a foot print showing that some one like my self and your self lived on this earth.
Life is a drama that each of us has role to play, but how well you act it decides whether you are going to be an understudy, a main actor or a supporting actor. So just believe in your self and do not walk on a track of another but your own with worthy story behind.
