SLMUN 2008!!!

Hey people!! This is my first post in my blog. So i thought of writing some thing which is really important for me and which might be important for you all as well.This is one of my dreams which is probably going to come true in the near future!!

SLMUN is its name!! Sri lanka Model United Nations Conference is the expanded version of it. This is what i dreamed about. Even this is a dream of mine this dream was created by several other dreams which has been made true by my self with the help of my friends.They are Simulation- SAARC 2005, Simulation SAARC 2006 and Simulation SAARC 2007. All these were my dreams, dreams that were able to make a difference in this world.

All these are student run conferences, student run simulations of real SAARC. This was a biging of a new era of diplomacy. ” An epic venture into the domain of international diplomacy” was the theme of all these conferences. What we did in these were discussing critical regional issues of South Asia such as terrorism, poverty and illiteracy. These issue were looked through the eyes of children or rather adolescents whose minds are fresh and pure. Minds which has no favors, which has no hatred an which has no politics. SLMUN is just another step in this journey towards a new world. It is a simulation of the United Nations- the peace keepers of this world. This is a huge a project, a project which is going to be done by a group of young talented youth. So for today I’ll keep a full stop to this post while assuring that i will bring the updates of this soon!!!
